Primarily, they last longer and have a slightly higher yield.
Level 5 training in refining is required to use faction crystals.
Almost every type of ammo has its faction equivalent except ORE. |

T2 crystals would be obsolete for players to reach level 5 in a resource harvesting category. |

A universal crystal for all types. It burns out faster then the rest but adapts to whatever your harvesting.

Faction should be better than T1 over all (maybe even a range bonus)
But worse overall compared to T2.
A range bonus is a good idea, but I don't think faction should be worse quality then T2. |
